Yoga creates vitality, oxygenates the blood, improves coordination, increases range of motion and boosts immunity. A well-stretched muscle resists stress and can prevent injuries. Many doctors are prescribing yoga for a variety of ailments and the benefits of yoga go beyond the physical. By practicing yoga we begin to cultivate a healthy lifestyle encouraging awareness, consciousness, compassion, self-knowledge and discipline. Sadly there are many of western faith that are fearful of yoga due to its eastern ties. We want to change that, by offering a wealth of information and resources for those seeking a western approach to their yoga practice.
